When you apply for a job through workro, we collect the following personal data:
- Name — To identify you as an applicant
- Email Address — For application status updates and communication
- Phone Number — For interview scheduling and contact
- Resume (PDF) — To evaluate your qualifications and experience
- Interview Audio — During behavioral assessment (if applicable)
2. Purpose of Processing
- Evaluating your application for the job position
- AI-based skill matching and qualification scoring
- Scheduling and conducting interviews
- Notifying you about application status updates
3. Third Parties Who Receive Your Data
To process your application, we share your data with the following service providers:
- Together.ai (Kimi K2.5) — Primary AI provider: Resume analysis and skill matching
- Anthropic (Claude) — Fallback AI provider: Resume analysis and interview scoring
- AWS Textract — PDF text extraction (India region: ap-south-1)
- Deepgram — Interview audio transcription
- Google Firebase — Data storage and authentication
- ZeptoMail — Email delivery (India-based)
4. Your Rights (DPDP Act 2023)
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the following rights:
- Right to Access — Obtain a summary of data we hold about you
- Right to Correction — Have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected
- Right to Erasure — Request deletion of your personal data
- Right to Grievance Redressal — File a grievance and receive a response within 30 days
- Right to Withdraw Consent — Withdraw your consent at any time
- Right to Nominate — Nominate someone to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity

6. Complaint to the Data Protection Board
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India (DPBI). The Board's website and contact details are available on the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) website at meity.gov.in.
7. Data Retention
Your application data will be retained for up to 2 years from the date of application (unless otherwise required by law). You will be notified via email 48 hours before deletion. You may request earlier deletion at any time.
8. AI-Based Decision Making
workro uses AI-based tools to evaluate your resume and interview responses. AI-generated scores are advisory only — final hiring decisions are made by human recruiters. You may request a human review of any AI-generated score.
